Big Love SEASON TWO!

So last month began the start of season two of HBO's awesome show, Big Love. There's not as much 'bump and grind' in this season, but there's a lot more drama. Family secrets are starting to unfold and every episode gets more twisted. So far Margene is pregnant (this will be the 8th child), Barb went back to school, and Nikki has been disowned by her family (the powerful leaders of the compound). This is the one thing that keeps me excited for Mondays right now!

I love stuff!

My (current) Wish List!

1. A large (1.5-2'') barrel ceramic curling iron so I can create big, soft, shiny waves.

2. A Wigo hair dryer (my T3 died...) :(

3. Demeter Pick-Me-Up cologne spray in Rain or Wet Garden

4. Nude lipgloss...I've been searching for theee perfect nude lip gloss for awhile now. Suggestions would be lovely! I need something not too gloopy and not too shiny...more natural.

5. Bourjois Express Eye Makeup Corrector...I'm always smearing my mascara and this stuff has a little wand that cleans it up!

slouchy leather bags

I'm currently on a big, slouchy, leather bag kick. I think they're fun, functional and subliminally chic. There's nothing better than a great pair of jeans, a great top, a cute pair of flats, oversized sunglasses, and a big leather bag to top it all off. This white bag is my recent purchase...my prized Kooba!

Next, I'd like to get a cute Marc Jacobs bag...maybe one like the Marc by Marc Jacobs Softy Satchel. So it's not HUGE, but I love it anyway.

i love Big Love

So this week, I had a little extra time, and rented all 12 episodes of the HBO show BIG LOVE. And I looooooved it! I'm already in Big Love withdrawal. I can't wait for the 2nd season to start and I'm thinking I'll probably have to subscribe to HBO now so I can see it.

The cast is phenomenal and never has a show made me think so much about it after I watch it.

For the record, I don't know a lot about polygamy, but I never thought it was something that could in any way be do-able in this day and age. This show proves that a family is not just Mom, Dad, Billy, and Susie.
Wife #1: Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn): She's the perfect, stay-at-home, do-it-all, forgiving, loving mother and sister-wife
Wife #2: Nicki (Chloe Sevingy): So complex and I love to hate her. She's got a horrible spending problem and is so manipulative and demanding. She lies to everyone about everything and is ice cold emotionally.
Wife #3: Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin): So naive and innocent, yet she seems so eager to be the best sister-wife and mother. She messes up constantly but is always the first to admit it.
Bill (Bill Paxton): I figured he'd be bossy, demanding, abusive, powerful, but he's anything but. Somehow he makes time for all his wives (no wonder he takes Viagra) and his 7 kids and they all seem emotionally healthy and sane for the most part. On top of that he runs a large business.
Aaaah, I just love this show.

it's official! best de-wrinkle creams!

So Consumer Reports recently issued findings from their wrinkle cream studies. I know, I'm only 23 years young, but for the past couple years my guilt about my endless days spent at the tanning salon in high school have finally caught up with me. I never go to bed without my Nivea Q10 night cream and I never leave the house without my Body Shop Vitamin E cream under my makeup.

The Top Picks:
1. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream
2. Olay Regenerist
3. Creme de la Mer (of course)

Worst Rated:
1. La Prairie Cellular
2. Roc Retinol Correxions

Lesson learned? When it comes to wrinkle creams...price does not necessarily mean performance!
